Felicia's Second Life: End of volume 1 and a short pause before the next volume.

End of Volume 1 and what's next.

Hi everyone. It's Ai-chan again. How are you all doing? As some of you may already know, the first volume has ended. Hooray! Please don't get too excited though. I'm already working on the next volume, but it may take me a little bit of time. So there won't be a Felicia's Second Life for the whole week. Sorry.


On the other hand, I have other stories that I have written but not yet edited. I'll try to post some of them in the meantime. Don't want you guys to forget me lol I wonder which story should be posted next.


The ebook for Felicia's Second Life will be sold at probably 3.99, I was told it is about the price of a Bic Mac. I would've priced it lower, but at the amount of bytes FSL Book 1 (over 100k words) is, I'll probably end up losing money at the price I originally intended. Do you guys think it's okay at that price? I don't want it to be considered expensive since it's my first book after all. Any advice will be very appreciated. 


For those who are interested in buying it, I assure you that the LN will be better edited than what you see here. It will also include additional explanations/descriptions and fix all the plotholes of the webnovel. If you like my story and wants to support me so that I can afford to write more of Felicia's Second Life in the future, please consider buying the ebook at whichever ebook portal you're comfortable with. Onegai shimasu!

 

Apart from Amazon, I'm also planning on selling it through Smashwords and about 10 other ebook stores. I should be able to start selling shortly after christmas.


Oh in case I forgot to mention, I won't be taking down the webnovel. If you don't want to buy the book, you can still read it here, no problem. Any future chapters will also be posted here. I hope you will continue supporting me and FSL in the future.

    Hi there,

    If you are not sure about the pricing and stuff, take a look at how other authors are doing it. Check out The Zombie Knight, really popular and sells on amazon and smashwords:

    That's about the only webnovel that I follow that also sells as an ebook.

      Hi, thank you for the advice. I've looked at it and although it's priced at 2.99, The Zombie Knight is roughly half of FSL, so it's probably alright to price it at 3.99, if only looking at that. I wonder if there are any other examples.

      Isn't one of the KDP select rules is that you can't publish it on another ebook portal for 90 days?

    Good stuff! what about the side story though? or has it been cancelled? $4 is alright i suppose, i always buy physical books second hand at around $2.5, so that much is fine for a new book

      Thank you for your compliment. The side story is ebook exclusive. Sorry. Had to keep something to lure people to buy the LN :( I don't know how many people are willing to buy just out of the goodness of their heart alone.

      It's not a necessary read, it's just something like an extra laugh. You get to see what happen to the prince after Felicia left.

      Hi, thanks for your comment. The LN will be sold on Amazon, Smashwords and about 10 other ebook stores. Amazon is kind of pesky about pricing, though, so the Amazon one will likely be cheapest, the others will be through agents, so will likely increase.

      The one I will be publishing after Christmas won't have much of an illustration. It'll be a basic one, with only a leaflet with a wider illustration of the cover. Since it feels kind of bland with just that, I guess I'll add a better map too.

      I intend to publish an EXTRA version if the Basic version sells well enough to net me enough income to hire illustrators. Don't worry, those who buy the the Basic version will get a discount if you also buy the Extra version. Though this is merely a plan, if it doesn't sell, then I guess that's just that. :(

      If you're talking about the image of her you've seen with every chapter, I'm sorry, I can't use that as the book cover. I don't have the rights to use that for commercial purposes. If the book sells well, I'll try to get a better artist to draw the cover.

      I will put a link here after I have it published on Amazon and the other ebook retailers. Please await the debut of Felicia's Second Life.

You may say whatever you want, even if you don't like the story. All I ask is that you be polite about it. For example, "You suck, you should rot in hell" and "Balduadapdahdaydai" are totally not acceptable. If your comment is "Your grammar is horrible, please find a grammar checker", then it's fine.
